Charlotte HeywoodConservatory Roof Replacement in Doncaster: Tiled, Solid & Insulated Roofs
Keep the conservatory. Replace the roof.
Insulated conservatory roofs across Yorkshire and Derbyshire, fitted to the frame you already have. Warmer in winter, cooler in summer.

- 10 year warranty
- Existing frame stays
- 2–3 days on site
Why conservatories go unused
Too cold from October, too hot by June
Most conservatories were built with polycarbonate or glass roofs. Both let heat straight out in winter and trap it in summer, which is why so many end up used for storage for a good part of the year.
Replacing the roof is what changes that. The frame, the windows and the doors usually stay exactly where they are. It is the roof above them doing the damage, and it is the roof we replace.
The result is a room that holds a steady temperature, costs less to heat, and gets used through the winter rather than shut off from the rest of the house.

Same conservatory. Different room.
The frame, the windows and the doors are the same ones. Only the roof changed.

Start with the conservatory you already have

Conservatory roof replacement
Replacing a polycarbonate or glass roof with an insulated, solid one. The frame you already have stays put.

A timber system, not an aluminium one
We fit a lightweight timber roof system. Because it weighs so little, it can nearly always sit on the conservatory frame that is already there, which is what keeps the job short and avoids the structural work a heavier roof would need.
Small skylights can be built in where you want the light kept. We use Keylite windows for those.

Chosen to sit against your existing roof tiles and brickwork rather than stand out from them. We will bring samples and talk it through when we measure up.
What a replacement roof costs
Price comes down to the size of the conservatory. A 3 × 3m roof is £6,000, each extra metre on either side adds £800, and skylights are £500 each.
Plastering, electrics and your choice of tiles are all included, and the free survey confirms the price in writing before anything is agreed.
How the price works
- £6,000 for a 3 × 3m roof
- £800 for each extra metre
- £500 for each skylight
- Plastering and electrics included

What customers say

Excellent service, really impressed with the whole project from start to finish. Can’t recommend enough. If you’re looking to have your old conservatory roof replaced with something more usable warm roof should be your first port of call.
Dunc WardI would recommend this company to anyone, the workmanship was excellent and the lads worked very hard to achieve this result.
Julian TaylorEvery installation carries a 10 year insurance backed warranty
Insurance backed means the cover sits with an insurer rather than only with us, so it holds regardless of what happens to the company that fitted the roof.
We are a family business, fitting these roofs from Edlington in Doncaster since 2018.

Your questions, answered
How soon can you start my project?
We can usually get started within a short timeframe, depending on availability and the size of the job. For an accurate start date, get in touch for a free, no obligation quote and we will talk you through the process and timings.
How long does installation take?
Two to three days for most conservatories. The timber system has fewer parts than a traditional roof and needs no major structural changes, and because it is light enough to sit on your existing frame there is far less to do before the new roof goes on. Plastering or electrical work adds to that, and we will confirm a timescale with your quote.
Do I need to replace the whole conservatory?
Almost never. The frame, windows and doors normally stay exactly as they are. It is the roof that causes the temperature problem, and the roof is what we replace. We will tell you if we find anything that changes that when we come out to measure up.
Which areas do you cover?
We work across Yorkshire and Derbyshire from our base in Edlington, Doncaster. That includes Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Wakefield, Worksop and Chesterfield. If you are not sure whether you are in range, give us a ring and ask.
What happens next
Only one of these needs anything from you.
You leave your details
Name and a number is enough. There is nothing to fill in about the conservatory itself.
We ring you back
A short call to understand what you have got and arrange a time to come and measure up.
We quote, in writing
A fixed price for the work, with the colour, the finish and the timings set out. No obligation to go ahead.
We fit it
Usually two to three days on site, longer where plastering or electrics are part of the job.
Thinking about your conservatory roof?
